Claudia Mejia Edwards, 27, of Sanford, Florida, lost her 4 limbs after delivering her baby Matthew. Edwards was in Orlando Regional South Seminole Hospital in Longwood on April 28, 2005. After Matthew’s birth, Edwards was infected with Group A Streptococcal infection, a flesh eating bacteria.

Doctors amputated Edwards’ limbs to save her life. Edwards sued the hospital. On Monday, the hospital settled with Edwards with an undisclosed amount for damages.
