Claire Jones, 32, was pregnant. Claire Jones could not tell her boyfriend, David Stoneman, 33, about her baby because she had cheated on him. On Dec. 27 2007, Claire Jones gave birth in the bathroom of her mother’s house. Her baby was stillborn.

Claire Jones wanted to keep her pregnancy a secret so she hid the dead baby in the boot of her car. Claire Jones drove back to her boyfriend’s house and returned to work. A health service worker tipped off police and they searched her home and found the corpse in her car boot. Claire jones was charged with conncealing the birth of her baby. David Stoneman has split with Claire Jones.

Jones will be sentenced in August 2008. In the meantime, she is out on conditional bail.
