Christopher Bizilj (pronounced as Bah-seal), of Ashford, Conn., fired a 9mm micro submachine gun. Christopher Bizilj’s weapon recoiled and he lost control as it fired a shot into his head. Christopher Bizilj, 8, died at the scene on Sun., Oct 26.

Hamppden County District Attorney William Bennett has to investigate whether the gun exhibition broke the state laws by permitting a boy to fire a machine gun. Police said it is legal in Massachusetts for children to use a firearm when they have permission and are supervised by a qualified instructor.

Christopher Bizilj’s father, Charles Bizilj said his son had experience firing rifles and handguns but not the automatic submachine gun.
