Christina Crawford: Crawford’s “Mommie Dearest” reissued

Crawford’s new edition includes a new introduction and afterword, testimonies from contemporaries and photographs that were edited out from the 1978 edition. “Mommie Dearest” was one of the first few books to highlight child abuse and alcoholism.
Christina Crawford has written several books on child abuse. Crawford, herself an adopted child, is an advocate for adoptees’ rights. Crawford is the producer and host of a regional weekly TV show, “Entertainment Northwest.” Crawford lives in rural Idaho. She has been married thrice and has no children.
