Christian Hosoi’s biopic is shown on Sat. The title of the documentary on Hosoi is “Rising Son: The Legend of Skateboarder Christian Hosoi ‘06.” Christian Hosoi was a top skateboarder in the 1980s. In 2000, Christian Hosoi landed in prison for 10 years on a drug charge. Hosoi was released early for good behavior in 2004 and he received parole. Hosoi has resumed his skateboarding career.
