Last Sunday, on August 17, 2008, Hua Huiqi, a well known Chinese Christian activist, claimed he was arrested by police while on his way to a church service attended by U.S. President George Bush. Bush was visiting Beijing for the Olympics and on formal discussions with China.

Hua Huiqi alleged that he was assaulted while under arrest. He escaped and is in hiding at a secret location.
