This remains to be proven but Richard Fagan has initially confessed to stabbing Gaetano Thomas Oteri with a pocket knife. Richard Fagan and Gaetano Thomas Oteri were room mates and best friends.

On Saturday, April 26, 2008, Richard Fagan and Gaetano Thomas Oteri had a quarrel. Richard Fagan allegedly stabbed Gaetano Thomas Oteri. Otari died.

Gaetano Thomas Oteri, 69, was a Nashville music producer. Richard Fagan was a songwriter. Gaetano Thomas Oteri started to know Richard Fagan when he helped him out a rough patch in his life. He allowed Richard to stay with him. The two men became collaboraters in songs.

Gaetano Thomas Otari was found dead in his house on Saturday.

Police arrested Richard Fagan for DUI. Police spotted him like a sore thumb because he was driving with one tire missing. Richard Fagan had drank 6 shots of some liquor.

A friend of Oteri failed to get a response from him so he contacted police. When police entered the house, it was locked from the inside. It was in a mess. Police located Fagan and arrested him.

There were various reports on how Fagan was arrested. Some of the stories differed.

Cheri Oteri was famous for her role in SNL (Saturday Night Live). She left to concentrate on other film projects.
