Charney Watt, 18, died Sunday, March 1. Watt was killed in a shooting in north Charlotte. Watt’s boyfriend, Lavon Daniels, 18, is accused of killing her.

Watt may have been killed because of a domestic dispute. Watt was a school cheerleader. Shirley Rogers, Watt’s grandmother, said Watts had broken up with Daniels but may have returned to him. Rogers said Watt was doing well after the break and she speculated on what may have happened to cause the death.

The actual story of Watt may not be known until investigations are completed.
