Charlie Sheen shot Kelly Preston in 1990, while Preston was his fiancée. Preston suffered a wound in her arm that required two stitches. Sheen and Preston broke off their relationship soon after the shooting accident. Sheen and Preston agreed it was an accident and no action was taken on that.

Prior to meeting Charlie Sheen, Kelly Preston was married to Kevin Gage from 1987 to 1989. Sheen and Preston dated in 1989 and became engaged until 1990. Some said Preston escaped the engagement after being shot in her arm.

In 1991, Kelly Preston married John Travolta. Preston and Travolta are Scientologists. Their sole surviving daughter is named Ella Bleu Travolta, who was born on April 3, 2000. Their son, Jett Travolta, who was born on April 13, 1992, has died on Jan 2, 2009. In November 2010, Preston gave birth to the couple’s baby son, named Benjamin Travolta.

On Friday, December 25, Charlie Sheen allegedly threatened his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, with a knife. Sheen and Mueller were in Aspen, Colorado.

Updated May 2 2011 – Charlie Sheen said Kelly Preston shot herself in her own arm in 1990. Sheen said he never fired the gun but Preston was the one who was responsible for the gunshot in her arm in 1990. On May 2, 2011, Charlie Sheen was performing in his show, “My Violent Torpedo Of Truth”, in Vancouver, when he related the notorious incident.

Sheen went on the record to correct his earlier story when he made his new version on Monday night, May 2, 2011. The amended story was part of Sheen’s torpedo of truth. Sheen said he was in the kitchen drinking coffee, when he saw Kelly Preston at the top of the stairs. She was almost nude save for a coating with a layer of blood.

Sheen said his then girlfriend Kelly Preston picked up his pants in the bathroom. That explained why she had appeared naked, she was in the bathroom. Sheen said his gun was in the pocket of his pants. Sheen explained the revolver fell to the floor of the bathroom and fired by accident. He claimed the bullet did not enter Preston’s arm, but had hit the porcelain toilet. He said the bullet could have fragmented and a metal fragment or piece of the broken porcelain toilet struck Preston.

Kelly Preston and Charlie Sheen split up after the shooting accident. They had been engaged to marry but they split up.

May 6 2011 – Kelly Preston has confirmed Charlie Sheen’s story that he didn’t fire the gun that injured her arm.
