Charles Barkley: Barkley pleaded guilty to DUI
By Therese Lisieux on February 24th, 2009Charles Barkley pleaded guilty to charges of drink driving on Monday, Feb 23. Barkley, an ex basketball player turned TV analyst, pleaded guilty to two charged stemming from the same arrest for DUI on Dec 1.
Charles Barkley has to start his prison sentence on March 21. He was sentenced to 5 days in prison. Barkley was fined $2000 and ordered to enroll in an alcohol treatment program. Barkley has to fit an ignition interlock device on his cars and vehicles.

Barkley acknowledged his drinking. Barkley said he wanted professionals to talk to him about drink and stopping the consumption of alcohol.
