Daniel Zappelli, a Geneva Prosecutor, said that he will drop the case of assault against Hannibal Gadhafi and his wife, Aline Gadhafi, because the servants withdrew their complaints. Daniel Zappelli has insufficient grounds to continue the case. Hannibal Gadhafi and his wife, Aline Gadhafi are the son and daughter-in-law of Libya’s Col. Moammar Gadhafi.

The servants’ lawyer, Francois Membrez, said that his clients withdrew their complaints. The Moroccan servant and the Tunisian servant were compensated and granted temporary visas to stay in Switzerland. Membrez refused to disclose the amount of money awarded or the identity of the person behind it. Hannibal Gadhafi and his wife, Aline Gadhafi were arrested in July. There was a big diplomatc crisis between Libya and Switzerland.

Hannibal Gadhafi and his wife, Aline Gadhafi, paid bail and returned to Libya.
