Its the beginning of 2010 and also the beginning of the end for the celebrities who have disclosed they are sick and dying.
January 2010 deathwatch:
Dennis Hopper’s prostate cancer has spread to his bones. Hopper allegedly started to bade his close friends farewell. Sources claimed Hopper wrapped his shoot for the movie “Crash” and started saying his rounds of goodbyes. Hopper allegedly told friends his doctors had warned him the end was approaching.
Dennis Hopper weighs only 100 pounds. He’s weak, unable to talk for long and unfit for questioning by Victoria Hopper’s divorce lawyers, for a deposition. Mr Hopper’s lawyer, Joseph Mannis, said his client was too sick to even go for chemotherapy. Mannis wrote in a court filing that Mr Hopper is presently terminally ill with prostate cancer. Dennis Hopper is dying.
Jyoti Basu, 95, a leading Marxist leader, is in Salt Lake, Kolkata, India. Mr Basu had pneumonia when he was admitted into a hospital. Basu’s health is deteriorating.
Jan 22 – Vikki Lizzi, girlfriend of Jeff Conaway, is giving hints that he is seriously injured and may be dying. Jeff Conaway fell down a flight of stairs and suffered injuries to his head and body. Vikki Lizzi blamed medication or drugs for Conaway’s condition.
Feb 26 – Gary Coleman has been having seizures recently. Cole has kidney problems and his health is fragile. On Friday, Feb 26, Coleman, 42, was rushed into hospital after a seizure on the set of The Insider. Coleman’s last known hospitalization for a seizure was on Jan 6 2010. On May 27, Gary Coleman was admitted into hospital in a critical condition. Coleman fell and hit his head, sustaining critical injuries.
March 1 – Penny Marshall, who has liver cancer, is struck with major devastating news. Her cancer treatments have failed to stop the spread of the disease. Marshall’s rep has denied the story but another source said they know that Marshall has been informed of the facts. The close family friend said Penny Marshall’s cancer has spread to other parts of her body.
March 2010 –
These celebrities are sick but not dying:
Mischa Barton was clubbing at Bar Marmont, in Hollywood, last Saturday, March 27. Barton was ill and threw up outside the Bar but she returned inside. Barton failed to even make a trip to the ladies to check out her appearance after being sick all over the sidewalk.
Lindsay Lohan had suspicious looking powder on her shoes which flew every which way while she was walking out of a club, Saturday night, March 27.
April 2010 –
Pat Burns, a former coach for the NFL, is sick with colon cancer and lung cancer. Pat Burns had refused treatment after being diagnosed with lung cancer, the second cancer to strike his body. Pat Burns details here.

Celebrities deathwatch June 2010:
Senator Robert Byrd was admitted into hospital in mid June. His prognosis isn’t optimistic.
Dick Cheney was hospitalized for his recurrent heart problem.
Celebrities ill in July 2010:
Jennifer Saunders has breast cancer after returning from a remission hiatus. Saunders was told by doctors that her remission was over and her cancer had returned. Saunders was last seen in public at Wimbledon and she was wearing a wig, held down by a bandana. Saunders is taking her cancer battle privately and would not make public statements about her illness.
Tony Curtis is resting in hospital after being warded for breathing problems. Tony Curtis was at a function in Costco, outside Las Vegas, last week when he felt ill.
Tony Curtis was in the midst of a function, to show off some art pieces, when he experienced breathing problems. He was sent to hospital for a complete check up. Curtis’ doctors are running a series of tests on him to discover the probable cause of his sudden sickness. Curtis has chronic pulmonary disease but still, doctors have to get a hold of the latest problem which sparked the attack.
Celebrities sick in July 2010:
Al Jarreau, the Jazz singer, collapsed on stage in Barcelonnette, in France. Al Jarreau has a respiratory illness but still tried to perform. Jarreau was hospitalized and his condition was described as being critical.
Zsa Zsa Gabor is very ill after surgery to repair her broken hip.
Updated on Sep 30 2010 – Tony Curtis, 85, died at home in Nevada.
Celebrity death watch in October 2010 –
Michael Douglas has throat cancer in the fourth stage. Despite the positive press releases about Douglas undergoing chemotherapy, rumors persisted about a deathwatch.
October 2010 Deathwatch – Margaret Thatcher, 85, is ill.
December 2010 – Elizabeth Edwards is seriously ill with cancer.
Updated – Dec 7 2010 – Ms Edwards died on Dec 7 2010.
Dec 8 2010 – Aretha Franklin is allegedly seriously ill with pancreatic cancer.
