A pair of twins and their parents are waiting outside Windsor Castle’s procession to see the Royal Couples. They hold the flags. They are siblings and this is symbolic. This supports Sarkozy’s call to forge a new Franco-Saxo relationship where the people become brothers and sisters.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the day. The outspoken Nicolas Sarkozy has an image makeover and height boost. There is no way he, at 5 ft 4 in, could add heels to measure up to Carla’s 5 ft 9 in.

Nicolas Sarkozy & Carla Bruni touched down on Heathrow. Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall received them. Just ahead of his visit, Sarkozy said that he wanted friendship and projects on the economy, immigration, security, defence. The fun begins from now.
