National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) researchers caught a giant squid in the Gulf of Mexico. The squid weighed 103 pounds and measured 19.5 feet. The squid was caught as the researchers trawled a net at 1500 feet below the surface. The rapid ascent when the net was pulled up killed the giant squid.

Phylis Canion, of Cuero, Texas, found a dead Chupacabra in August 2009. Canion said she found the Chupacabra, which was a victim of a roadkill, just outside her ranch. Canion said she believed it was a Chupacabra.

An Albino otter was seen in the wild in Moray, Scotland. Miss Karen Jack took photos of the albino otter which was white colored. The spokesperson of the International Otter Survival Fund said spotting wild albino otters was rare. It maybe as rare as the chances of striking the lottery.
