Carrie Prejean & Perez Hilton: Hilton returned Prejean’s snub (photo/ video)
By Therese Lisieux on April 21st, 2009Carrie Prejean, Miss California 2009, chose Perez Hilton, a celebrity gossip blogger, to be the Miss USA judge to ask her a question.
It was unknown if Prejean knew Hilton’s background and his openly gay stance. Hilton asked Prejean if she thought every state should legalize same sex marriage. Miss California could not lie. Prejean told Hilton she thought marriage was for the opposite sex. Prejean’s stance against gay marriage may have cost her the crown.
Perez Hilton looked as though he was disappointed in Prejean’s response. It seemed Prejean’s answer was like a slap in the face for Hilton. Hilton looked down to avoid the camera that had zoomed in on his face. Hilton returned Prejean’s snub. No doubt about it.
Miss California won the first runner up place in Miss USA 2009. Prejean was the hotter favorite over Dalton but she lost. Miss North Carolina, Kristen Dalton became Miss USA 2009.

There you have it folks. Miss USA will always be chosen on political and religious viewpoints. Forget the talent and beauty portion of the show. I applaud Carrie Prejean for standing firm to her opinion no matter what the cost. It is no longer popular being a Christian in America. This country has largely lost its moral compass. To Carrie Prejean, I say thank you and God bless you. I found your courage inspirational. America needs more people like you. It’s Perez Hilton who made a fool of himself going on an emotional tirade on the Internet and slandering her name until he was blue in the face.
