The reporter Carolyn Gusoff, sports anchor Otis Livingston, weather broadcaster SallyAnn Moseley, and news anchor Monica Morales were fired. WNBC dismissed these 4 as part of their budget tightening measures.

News Channel 4 is being revamped to become a NY1-style 24-hour news channel. The staff of Channel 4 may be feeling demoralized because these 4 in the news team were considered the backbone of the group.
