Carmina Lopez, 32, a 6th grade teacher at Nestor Elementary School, was arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with her student, a minor, in 2004. Lopez was charged with almost 100 counts of various sex offences.

Carmina Lopez allegedly performed sex acts at school, in her home and in a car. The victim is now 15. The last sex act incident was in early 2008. The student suffered from psychological issues was being treated by a counselor when he revealed some information which lead to the arrest of Carmina Lopez. Lopez changed her school to Sunnyslope School after her alleged relationship began.
