On May 11, Denver Nuggets Carmelo Anthony’s fiancée, Lala Vazquez, was upset at some remarks made by Dallas Mavericks fans who were seated near her. Security had to try to escort Vazquez out before the exchange grew worse. Vazquez is a judge on VH1’s “Charm School”.

Lala Vazquez later released a statement to claim that the Dallas Mavericks fans made racial taunts at her and made threats against her. Vazquez claimed she was only trying to defend herself.

On Monday night, May 11, Mark Cuban told Denver Nuggets Kenyon Martin’s mother that her son was a thug after Game 3. Kenyon Martin waited until after the game to answer Cuban because he did not want to get suspended during the game.

On early Tuesday, May 12, Mark Cuban wrote an apology to Kenyon Martin’s mother and offered to host the Martin family a free stay in his exclusive suite (or another suite) for the next Dallas series.
