Carlos Flores was arrested on Tue., Dec. 23. Flores was arrested for practising dentistry without a licence. Flores treated poor Hispanics at his home in Peekskill, 45 miles north of Manhattan, New York. One patient of Flores ended up in hospital after Flores broke his tooth while trying to extract it.

Carlos Flores operated from the kitchen of his home in the suburbs of New York City. Police removed a dentist’s chair, drugs and bloodstained orthodontic equipment from the kitchen of Flores’ home. Carlos Flores claimed he was a licensed orthodontist in his native Ecuador.
