Carla Nurse and Cornel Nurse, from the UK, are a racially mixed couple. Their son, Jermaine Nurse, 6, has gold-brown complexion and brown eyes. Tanisha Nurse, 4, has dark skin and eyes. Jayden Nurse, 2, has light skin, blond hair and blue eyes.

Carla Nurse, 27, said she had no explanation for her rainbow brood of children. Carla has white parents and grandparents.

Cornel Nurse has a black father from Barbados and a white mother from London. Cornel said that although his three children have different colored skins, they all possess the same facial features of their parents.

The British Society for Human Genetics said a child only has 50% of the parents’ genes. A child may receive any combination of gene variants for complexion and the skin color may be very different from the parents’.
