Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy, step off plane, at Heathrow, Mar. 26, 2008. This is the first state visit from France since 12 years ago.

This might become the turning point in Sarkozy’s political career. He needs positive results to earn him badly needed support back home.

Carla Bruni seems to have enlisted some help from Jackie Kennedy in the image makeover. She wore a pill box hat, gloves and traditional monotone coat.
