Coral Watts is actually Carl Eugene Watts. Watts lived from Nov 7 1953 to September 21 2007. Watts was famous for being “The Sunday Morning Slasher” as he was a serial killer. Carl Eugene “Coral” Watts died of cancer.

Watts had prostate cancer while in jail. Watts was convicted and sentenced to two life sentences without parole for the murders of Helen Dutcher and Gloria Steele.

Watts made a deal with prosecutors and obtained immunity for 12 murders. Watts’ plea bargain was made in 1982. Consequently, Watts was tried for only two murders. There is a biography of Carl Eugene Watts at the link, complete with his photo.
