Cancer Mammograms: no self exams for cancer pre mammograms

The US Preventive Services Task Force announced two recommendations –
1) Women get mammograms to screen for cancer when they are 50 years old and above.
2) Women should not diagnose using self examinations of their breasts.
The American Cancer Society recommends every woman to get a mammogram when they reach 40 years old. The American Cancer Society suggests taking one mammogram in every two years.
