Cami McCormick was critically wounded in a bomb attack while on the road. McCormick was in Logar, Afghanistan, attached to the US Army, as a reporter covering the beat for CBS Radio News.

McCormick, who lives in NY, was traveling in a vehicle when a roadside bomb exploded and gave her serious injuries. McCormick had emergency surgery at a field hospital and was sent to another hospital for follow up treatment. CBS refused to release details on McCormick’s injuries.

McCormick is a veteran news reporter, having worked in Afghanistan and Iraq frequently. McCormick arrived in Afghanistan on August 13 for this recent trip. McCormick was reporting on the violence and Presidential elections on this assignment.
