Bryan Steinhauer: Bryan Steinhauer still recovering after attack (video)
By Clarencia Cynrae on April 22nd, 2009Bryan Steinhauer, 22, was attacked in a bar near Binghamton University in May 2008. Steinhauer was left in a coma for two months. Steinhauer said he had no memory of the attack.
Steinhauer was allegedly attacked by Miladin Kovacevic, who was a member of the university basketball team at that time. Kovacevic was arrested for assault. A diplomat at the Serbian consulate posted bail for Kovacevic and he skipped bail. Kovacevic returned to Serbia.
Bryan Steinhauer is still recovering after attack. Steinhauer is receiving therapy for his physical, occupational and speech areas. The Serbian government paid Steinhauer’s family $900,000 to prosecute Kovacevic overseas as they refused to extradite Kovacevic.
