Pardo went to the house in Covina, about 25 miles southeast of Los Angeles. Pardo started shooting at the party guests. Pardo killed more than 3 people. The house caught fire. Pardo was later found inside his brother’s home early Thur., Dec. 25.
Pardo has been nicknamed as the Santa massacre guy.
Pardo killed himself but police refused to comment on how he died. Police said Pardo was undergoing some marital problems. Police said Pardo went into the house of his relative and started shooting there.
Police said they found several more bodies after shifting through the ashes of the house that burned. The bodies were badly burnt and police could not immediately determine if the victims died of gunshot wounds or because of the fire. A neighbor said there were about 25 people inside the party.
Police said Pardo went to the party late Wed., Dec. 24. Pardo started firing with a handgun. When police arrived at around 11:30 pm Wed. night, the house was burning and gunshots were heard. Firemen were held back due to the ammunition. Police suspect ammunition inside the house exploded in the fire. The fire was extinguished at 1:30 am Thur., Dec. 25.

Bruce Pardo was divorced from his wife, Sylvia Pardo. On Dec. 18, Pardo and Sylvia Pardo reached a settlement to finalize the terms of their divorce. Bruce Pardo had to pay a final $10,000.
Pardo entered his former parents-in-law’s home. Pardo was suspected of killing them and Sylvia Pardo. Pardo brought a homemade blowtorch that made the house catch fire.
There were no indications that Pardo was upset. The people who knew Pardo were surprised he turned out to be the Santa massacre murderer.
Nine burnt bodies have been recovered from the site. None have been positively identified.

Police said they found $17,000 strapped to Pardo’s body. Pardo had a plane ticket to Canada. Police think Pardo changed his plans to escape to Canada after he was badly burned in the fire he started. Pardo’s Santa Claus costume had melted in the intense heat and it fused into his burns. Pardo was described as having sustained third degree burns. Police think Pardo committed suicide after being burned. As on Dec. 27, nine bodies were found in the burnt remains.

and another brother, James Ortega, 52,
and his wife, Teresa Ortega, 51.

Mr. Pardo lashed out at those responsible for, and the enablers of, the Misandry Machine so prevalent in today’s society. My thoughts are for Mr. Pardo, and not anyone else. He was backed into a corner and he fought back. Good for him. More men are waking up to the misandry. Mr. Pardo, you are my hero.

no person regardless what u state is a problem of “misandry” is justified in commiting such a cowardly and heinous act. there must be hundreds upon hundreds of men who think they have been shafted or stilted by a lover or society in one way or another, and smartly and courageously move on or pick themselves up again and engage in the drama (and sometimes battle)of life. for a man with a graduate level education and a member of a Chrsitian community, he had plenty of resources to draw on to get through his crisis, unfortunately he lacked imagination and self-worth, in the end letting his anger and hate take him over the edge.

Did you actually do any research. He owed more money than he would ever be able to pay off. She and the court system completely destroyed his life and he is just supposed to take it.
I say NO. Fight back. Stand up for yourself. When they back you into the corner and give you no way out. Lash out and show em that we aren’t going to take it anymore.

If Mr. Pardo felt that the court sustem had destroyed his life, there were numerous other options he could have taken. I understand that he had $17,000 strapped to his body when it was discovered. He also had a plane ticket to Canada. Why didn’t he just take the money, go to another country, obtain a new identity, and start his life over??? He was an electrical engineer….He could have made it in another country. Murder never pays.

I think that it is completely irresponsible and disgusting for anyone to even imply that this act was remotely justified. There were plenty of other options. He could have skipped to the end of the plan and fled to Canada without killing anyone. What did an 8 year old girl have to do with any of this. The essence of senseless violence.

Those of you who call him a hero are sick and disgusting. He was a coward. He killed 9 people because he was angry over a divorce. That makes him a demonic loser. I’m sad for all the people who died because of his mental instability.
There is no amount of financial hardship that makes killing an entire family okay. Even if he was angry with his ex, he murdered 8 others who had nothing to do with his divorce. Arden, you think that he “fought back” and “stood up for himself” because of this? You are an idiot.

Bruce Pardo was a sick #&%*#& and is frying in HELL right now! And to the ones defending him and this horrible crime you will end up right next to him frying! Like you knew what went on in and after their marriage. News flash…YOU WEREN’T THERE! YOU DIDN’T LIVE WITH THEM! I don’t care what happened, even if something did…it does NOT give you the right to take lives…YOU get over it and move on! After reading the articles and the comments made on this case, on this and other websites makes me realize there are more sick people like Bruce Pardo in this world!

What gives a woman the right and the courts the authority to burden this man with devastating financial loss? Doing this has a cost. That cost is pushing some people to such a point of desparation that what would normally be heinous and unthinkable becomes the most viable solution. Destroying a persons life has consequences.
