Brooke Shields at 10 years old (picture) is below. Brooke Shields’ naked photo, called Spiritual America, is making the rounds again. Shields’ Spiritual America, taken at age 10, is being displayed as a work by the same name (Spiritual America), at the Tate Modern gallery, in London, UK. The exhibition is called “Art In A Material World” and the other exhibits show sex themes.

Critics raised an outcry as they claimed this would attract pedophiles to the Tate Modern. Visitors to the Tate Modern will see Shields’ picture, taken by Richard Prince, from Oct 1. Prince snapped Shields image in 1983, from another photograph originally taken by Gary Gross in 1975.

Michele Elliot, of Kidscape, criticized Shields’ nude photo as being a piece of obscene, soft kiddy porn.

Brooke Shields and her mother failed to stop the republication of the original picture, in the 1980s, when Prince wanted to republish the photo.

Shield’s naked photo will be the only nude child image in the exhibition at Tate Modern.
