Brianna Denison: James Michael Biela arrested for Brianna Denison murder

James Michael Biela, 27, is the suspect who has been arrested after DNA pprofiling matched the samples collected at the scenes of the crime. James Michael Biela’s girlfriend and mother of his son, 4, reported to the police that she found other woman’s underwear hidden in the truck console of James Michael Biela.

When James Biela was questioned by police, he refused to submit his DNA voluntarily. Police asked his girlfriend for permission to get DNA from her son. After 12 hours, the results of the DNA test returned a positive match to DNA found at the scenes of the crime. The underwear was also a strong clue since when Brianna Denison's body was found, there were panties that belonged to other women discarded nearby.

James Biela is a suspect in the sexual assaults of at leats 2 other women in Reno and Washington State. Biela has been charged for the kidnap and rape on a Taiwanese exchange student identified as Hsiaotzu C., in Dec. 16, 2007.
