The University of California in Irvine saw a death when Rebecca Benedict died. Her former husband, Brian Benedict, is now detained in jail, on suspicion of shooting her. It seemed Brian Benedict, 35, and Rebecca Benedict, 30, had a quarrel which turned deadly and fatal.

Brian Benedict had a fight with his ex wife, Rebecca Benedict, on Sunday night, Sep 13. Brian is 35 and a physics graduate student and stayed on a campus apartment.

Rebecca had custody of their son, 4 years old. Rebecca was picking up the boy from Benedict’s apartment when a fight broke out. Rebecca was at the car park when Benedict followed her and shot her.

Brian Benedict may have quarreled with Rebecca Benedict for the custody of his son.

Brian Benedict is jailed pending a $1 million bail.
