Brenda Joyce, aka Betty Leabo, has died. Brenda Joyce made her name when she played Jane to Tarzan. Brenda Joyce died at 92. Ms Joyce’s cause of death was pneumonia. Ms Joyce passed away in a nursing home in Santa Monica, Ca.

Brenda Joyce was the only actress who acted opposite two different male leads playing Tarzan. In the 1940s, Ms Joyce portrayed Jane opposite her leading men who were Johnny Weissmuller and Lex Barker. Ms Joyce filmed her last movie in 1949 and retired from acting.

Ms Joyce continued working but in a different line. Ms Joyce switched to working for the immigration department.

Brenda Joyce left behind two daughters, one son, and three grandchildren.
