Brandon Vera and Lloyd Irvine were robbed at gun point in Irvin’s home, in Accokeek, Md., on Oct. 4. Two gunmen broke into Irvin’s house at 4:30 am.

The gunmen held up Brandon Vera, Lloyd Irvin and Mrs. Irvin to demand jewelry and cash. One gunman kept watch on Brandon Vera and Mrs. Irvin, while the other gunman escorted Lloyd Irvin into the bedroom to get his family jewelry. Lloyd Irvin felt they were safely away from his family so he tackled the gunman and disarmed him. This man then ran away, shouting to his accomplice that Irvin had his gun. The other intruder was so frightened that he ran away too.
