The jury found Brandon Craig not guilty. Brandon Craig was accused of killing Kevin Shirley, Luis Garcia and Matthew Hunt on May 29, 1999, in the East Mountains.

The jury’s forewoman said that although many jury members had their opinions that Craig was the shooter, the States prosecution could not prove its case. The witnesses against Craig were inconsistent in their testimonies. There was no murder weapon found. The crime scene photos were badly taken. Brandon Craig was released from jail after spending two and a half years behind bars while waiting for the verdict of his trial.
