Brad Pitt will be acting as Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett, a British explorer. Pitt will star in the true life story of Fawcett, who disappeared in the Amazon in 1925. Fawcett was on an expedition to search for lost ancient civilization when he went off the face of the earth.

Bard Pitt has been keeping his facial hair in anticipation of shooting the film on Col Fawcett. Production is rumored to be in on-going. The movie is expected to get a release late in 2010 or in 2011.

Brad Pitt allegedly wants to model himself after an adventurous character and maybe get identified as a daring movie character. Pitt has seen the success of Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones series and was interested to become a similar type of hero.
