Bob Gamere, an ex Boston TV sportscaster, has been arrested for child pornography. Bob Gamere, 69, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Oct. 23. Gamere was charged with transportation and possession of child pornography.

The prosecutor, US Attorney Michael Sullivan, claimed Bob Gamere had sent emails with child porn videos attached. Gamere did this in 2006. Federal authorities searched Bob Gamere’s home and found printed images in a locked drawer in his bedroom. A child pornography conviction normally carries a sentence of 5 – 20 years jail. After Gamere’s arrest, he was released on condition he wore a monitoring bracelet. Bob Gamere is banned from being with children when he is alone and unsupervised. Gamere was ordered to avoid using the internet. In his hey days in 1970s – 1980s, Gamere was a sports anchor at Channel 7 and Channel 56.
