Bo Diddley was an American singer, guitarist and songwriter. Bo Diddley was born Ellas Otha Bates and he lived from Dec 30, 1928 to June 2, 2008. Bo Diddley used a special, trademark guitar that was rectangular. Diddley died of heart failure.

Bo Diddley received a wave of interest after President Obama and his family received their first White House pet, a Portuguese Waterhouse Dog. The Obama family named their PWD as Bo Obama. Michelle Obama explained that “Bo”, or “Bo Diddley”, was the nickname for her father. Bo Obama would remind the Obama family of her father.
