New England Patriots’ quarterback, Tom Brady, will be out of play for the remainder of this season in 2008. Tom Brady needs extensive knee surgery.

Bill Belichick did not elaborate on Tom Brady’s knee injury in the Patriots News Conference but news media reported Brady had a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). Matt Cassel replaced Brady when he went off the turf. New England Patriots were rumored to be bringing in Chris Simms and Tim Rattay this week to beef up the team.
