Betsy Blair, the wife of Gene Kelly, died at the age of 85. Blair died in London on Friday, March 20. Blair died of cancer.

Betsy Blair was born in New Jersey. In 1941, Blair married Gene Kelly while she was in her teens. Mr and Mrs Kelly relocated to Hollywood. The couple divorced later. Blair then married Karel Reisz.

Betsy Blair was a rising Hollywood star but her wings of flight were crippled. Blair made the mistake of supporting leftist causes. Blair became blacklisted in tinsel town.
