Eleanor Squillari is Bernie Madoff’s former secretary. Squillari was interviewed by Vanity Fair for its June 2009 issue. Squillari worked 20 years for Madoff. Squillari remains faithful to Madoff.

Squillari may have some surprising things to say about Madoff but at the end of the day, Squillari shows her loyalty to him. Squillari described Madoff as being sexist and egoist but affable. Squillari said she discovered Madoff had 12 masseuses in his phone book.

Bernard Madoff: Madoff charged with Ponzi scheme (photo)

Bernard Madoff, the founder of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, was arrested. Madoff was charged with allegedly running a multi-billion Ponzi scheme. A Ponzi scheme is a pyramid type of scam. A Ponzi scheme promises high returns to early investors but this money is milked from later investors.

A criminal complaint against Bernard Madoff claimed Madoff told his senior staff of his Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, that a certain investment was – “it’s all just one big lie” and that it was “basically, a giant Ponzi scheme.”
