Bernice Gallego: Gallego’s baseball card (photo)

By Clarencia Cynrae on January 8th, 2009

Bernice Gallego, 72, of Fresno, Calif., found a baseball card made in 1869. The card featured the “Red Stocking B.B. Club of CinCinnati.” That was baseball’s first professional team. It is worth more than $100,000.

Bernice Gallego could not recall how she got the baseball card. Gallego said she bought antique lots from all over Calif. Gallego has never been to a baseball game.
