Eric Williams’ wife, Jennifer Williams, (photo below), stars in Basketball Wives, a reality TV show. Jennifer Williams, who stars in Basketball Wives, said marriage to Eric Williams, a basketball player, did not mean life was a bowl of cherries. Basketball Wives aims to share the lives of the women behind the players of basketball.
There were hardships like being in the constant company of an entourage and having less privacy. Jennifer said she knew Eric and the other basketball players were usually surrounded by women groupies who throw themselves at them.
Basketball wives may not feel secure knowing other women are preying upon their men. On the other hand, they can’t travel with their men. Basketball wives often have their own careers or businesses to care for.
Jen Williams has a female exercise studio called Flirty Girl Fitness. She said she knows the importance of having a business and an income to bring food to the table. Plus, having some conversation topics would make the dinner talk interesting.
Mrs Williams emphasized the need to keep active and working. Even while she was not in dire straits, she felt was good to contribute to the family or save for the rainy day. You never know when the old money might run out and its always good to have a business and source of income to fall back on.
Jennifer Williams is less afraid of losing her man now. She used to be paranoid about tracking her husband’s movements. Is she right in giving him a free rein? Has Jen anything to fear? After all, many basketball wives’ broken marriages were consequences of infidelity.
Jenifer Williams used to feel insecure and check her husband’s voice mails and emails. She would get her husband’s accounts and access them to eavesdrop on him and check his activity.
These days, Ms Williams is a more confident wife and she trusts in her husband. Jennifer feels she doesn’t need to snoop on Eric any more; she trusts him.
Jennifer Williams’ best friend on the show is Evelyn Lozada. Williams said Royce Reed is the most dramatic among all the “Basketball Wives”.
