Barbara Wagner: Barbara Wagner Healthcare (videos)
By Clarencia Cynrae on August 10th, 2009Barbara Wagner, 64, of Springfield, Oregon, has cancer. Ms Wagner applied for aid from the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) but was rejected. The OHP refused to pay $4000 monthly for another 6 months of life extending cancer drugs. Ms Wagner has less than 5% chances of living for 5 years.
To add insult to injury, the OHP offered to pay $50 for the “Death with Dignity” statute to be carried out. OHP will not pay to extend the life but will pay to end the life. Barbara Wagner’s case was publicized about one year ago in August 2008.
