Bannockburn had no history of murders until Friday, September 25, 2009. Bannockburn in Chicago saw its first murder in 85 years.

Bannockburn, an extremely wealthy community of 13 homes, never had a murder for the past 85 years. Police think the dead man was a victim of an argument. The man may have come from the Illinois Highway 22. The victim may have been traveling on the Highway 22 when he was driven to Bannockburn and shot.
