Attorney General Michael Mukasey was on stage giving a speech when he collapsed in Washington Thursday evening, Nov. 20. Attorney General Michael Mukasey was at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel meeting when he slurred in his speech and collapsed. When medics arrived, they worked on him for 10 minutes on the stage before getting AG Mukasey readied to be transported out to the ambulance. Michael Mukasey was conscious, breathing and responsive when medics carried him out of the hotel.

Mukasey was warded at the George Washington University Medical Center, where doctors are examining him. The cause of Attorney General Michael Mukasey’s sudden illness is still unknown.
