Arthur Shawcross, 63, a convicted serial killer, died in prison. Shawcross passed away on Monday, Nov. 10. Arthur Shawcross was serving his prison sentence of 250 years to life for killing 11 women during the period of 1988 – 1990. Ten women victims were from Monroe County and the 11th female victim was from Wayne County.

Shawcross was deemed sane by the prosecutors and prosecution’s psychiatrist. Shawcross did multiple personalities impersonations and told stories of childhood abuse. The prosecution’s psychiatrist said he was faking mental illness. The jury convicted Arthur Shawcross. The long story is at the link.
