Arnold T Ross, 17, was charged with rape and first degree murder of a baby, 8 months old. The baby boy was named Da-Von Lonzo. Ross was detained and taken into custody on Sat, June 7.

Someone called police about a baby who was unconscious at a location near Gretna, New Orleans. Da-Von Lonzo’s mother and Ross were a dating couple. Ross told officers he was babysitting Lonzo when he fell down the stairs. (Can a 8 month old baby crawl to the foot of the staircase and fall down?)

Ross later admitted he beat up baby Lonzo because he refused to stop crying. Checks revealed Lonzo was raped before he was killed.
