Arcebio Alvarez, 58, made his court appearance to face charges he sexually abused his daughter in Columbia. Alvarez was accused of using his daughter as a sex slave and allegedly fathered 11 children with her. Alvarez, nicknamed by the press as the “Monster of Maraquita”, defended himself by claiming the female was not his biological daughter. If he had sex with a girl at age 9, didn’t he think it was wrong?
Alvarez claimed the girl agreed to share a romantic relationship because they were in love. Alvarez’s children were taken into custody. They had state protection. Another three kids died.
Alba Nidia, now 35, told that she was sexually abused since she was less than 10 years old. That makes it about 25 years of sexual abuse. Nidia claimed a pastor prayed for her for strength to go forward and report the abuse. Alba Nidia’s mother died when she was 5 years old. Alvarez claimed Nidia was adopted and not his biological daughter. There should be a paternity test to determine that.
Columbia has hundreds of thousands of child sex abuse cases. Will Arcebio Alvarez (photo at link)be made the example?
