Updated August 23 – Antwon Tanner pleaded guilty to the charge of selling 12 social security numbers fro $10,000. Antwon Tanner was the middleman in the sales scheme. Antwon Tanner will be sentenced on Nov 20 2009. Tanner faces 1 year in prison.

Antwon Tanner, an actor in “One Tree Hill”, was arrested. Tanner was indicted on charges of trafficking fake social security cards and numbers. Tanner surrendered himself in court Thursday April 16.

Tanner is accused of using social security numbers with intention of committing fraud to secure $1000 worth of items. Tanner is also accused of using one of the fake social security numbers for himself.

Tanner’s arrest will not affect the plot for One Tree Hill this season. The TV character of Antwon “Skills” Taylor is expected to be written out of the plot soon. The producers would not want negative publicity from a cast member arrested for fraud.

Antwon Tanner lives in LA when filming for One Tree Hill is ongoing. Tanner lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, when he is not working in Hollywood. Tanner, 34, previous movie was in “Coach Carter”.
