Anthony Eugene Notarstefano: Notarstefano charged for stealing violins

In France, Notarstefano tried to sell the antique violins for a fraction of their value and aroused the suspicion of the music shop owners. Notarstefano may have stolen the violins from Mark Kashper’s home. Kashper is a violinist. In 2006, Kashper discovered his violins were missing.
Notarstefano tried selling the 18th and 19th century violins. Notarstefano was arrested in 2007 when a merchant called the police. He spent 2 years in prison in France before he was extradited to the US. Notarstefano was charged with possession of stolen goods and taking stolen goods abroad. Notarstefano pleaded not guilty in court Monday, July 27.
