Sprinkle is now a Ph.D. holder. According to Sprinkle, sex addiction is not a disease that requires the 12 steps program to cure. Sprinkle expressed her opinion that it is shame about liking sex that drives people to seek therapy and rehabilitation. When society un-necessarily labels deviant names like “sex addict” to people who like sex, the victims feel trapped in shame. Sprinkle saw no problems in suing sex to deal with emotions. Sprinkle suggest using groups to deal with shame around sex, rater than to reinforce the belief that liking sex or enjoying too much sex is bad.
