Annette Bening talks about “The Women”

Annette Bening turned 50 in May. To celebrate her big turn of half a century, Bening acted in the updated remake of “The Women.” This film was directed by Diane English. “The Women” was based on the original play by Clare Boothe Luce.

The famous women in the cast are Carried fisher, Candice Bergen, Bette Midler, Jada Pinkett Smith, Debra Messing, Eva Mendes, Meg Ryan and etc. “The Women” is set in New York. Mary Haines (acted by Meg Ryan) has almost everything except her husband’s love. He cheated on her with the perfume girl at Saks. Coincidentally, Eva Mendes is promoting Calvin Klein’s Secret Obsession fragrance. Annette Bening acts as Mary Haines’ best friend, Sylvia Fowler. Annette Bening said the fictional characters were awful people. The movie plot is about women stabbing each other in the back.
